BREAKING NEWS FROM THE STATE LEGISLATURE FRANKLIN, TN -- In a massive, statewide undercover sting operation, State Senator Jim Bryson has been detained and is sure to go to jail this coming Tuesday, September 20. The operation carried out by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) was codenamed Operation "Folsom Prison Blues." The exact number of legislators nabbed was undetermined at press time. However, sources indicate that the sting operation nabbed a number of dirty rotten scoundrels who will all be serving time with Senator Bryson. In a noon press conference, Sheriff Fife declared, "We got 'em good. They are goin' behind bars for good." The Sheriff went on to state that the roundup was peaceful and he didn't even have to take his bullet from his pocket. "The state will remain safe as long as Sheriff Fife is on the job," declared Sheriff Fife. Senator Bryson and others are accused of ignoring the desperate need for money to fund research to find a cure for Muscular Dystrophy and to help those children and adults suffering from the disease. On Tuesday morning, MDA will toss Senator Bryson in the slammer only to be released when he raises his bail. Because the sting operation overwhelmed the State Prison system, a temporary jail has been established at The Factory in Franklin on Tuesday. Though most Tennesseans will stand up and cheer the prospect of another State Senator tossed in the slammer, Senator Bryson has asked his friends, supporters and those who simply don.t like him very much to cough up some bail money to get him out of the pokey. Critics are skeptical that anyone would help the Senator get out of jail, but the Senator continues to beg shamelessly anyway. Should anyone be gullible enough to help Senator Bryson raise his bail money, they can do so simply by clicking on the link http://mdalockup.org/bailpage.aspx?j=51560 or copying the link and pasting it in the browser window. If you are like most Tennesseans and would prefer that legislators remain in the slammer for as long as possible please donate anyway to help find a cure for this terrible disease that affects so many children. When Judge Judy asked Senator Bryson if he could raise his bail, the Senator responded, .I.m confident the good people of Tennessee will step up to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association with a sizable tax-deductible gift.. The Judge mumbled something about the state being safer when legislators are behind bars before setting the Senator.s bail and adjourning. Editorial Comment: Though seeing a legislator behind bars is a sight for sore eyes, we believe that helping these children is an even greater urgency. Please click on the link and give generously. Some child will have an easier life because you had the heart to give. Thank you.
