The end of my thumbs, freedom, and dignity Print E-mail
Monday, 31 January 2005
Blackberry use may damage your thumbs. Uh oh.

I just hope a study isn't released demonstrating the damaging effects of caffine. I'm up to two venti iced coffees a day. Based on this study, I'm guessing that's about 1000mg a day (259mg / 16oz = 16.2mg/oz, iced coffee is brewed double strength and a venti contains 16oz of coffee and 8oz of ice, so 16oz X 2ventis X 16.2mg/oz X 2 for double strenth = 1036.8mg). I guess I should have known somehting was wrong when I got a personalized invitation to the Starbucks christmas party.

A recent study finds that one in three high school students believe the first amendment goes too far to protect the freedoms of speech, religion and the press. Only 83% believe people should be allowed to express unpopular views. The sad thing is these people would gladly give up their freedoms because they don't even know they have them (3/4ths believed flag burning was illegal) or don't understand why they are important.

On a lighter note, my co-workers have been having plenty of fun at my expense with photoshop lately. I might as well go ahead and link to it and get it over with.
