Is it better to give than to receive? Who cares if it's free. Print E-mail
Saturday, 26 July 2003
Adobe has been running a commercial over and over again on TechTV lately. The premise revlolves around whether it is better to give than receive a PDF file. The intent is to educate consumers that they can make their own PDFs (as opposed to just reading them with the free Acrobat reader). To do so, consumers have to pay $299 for the full version of Acrobat.

Forget that, stop by sourceforge.net and pickup PDFCreator. It comes with a self installer and creates a PDF printer just like Acrobat. I printed a few Word documents to test it out and it works perfectly.
