The EFF published a letter sent to all Senators in response to the INDUCE Act.
As part of their response, they offer a constructive alternative to solving the problem without an endless stream of lawsuits. The problem posed by digital music distribution is the same one posed by player painos, radio, audio tape, and CDs and the solution should be no different. Let P2P networks and online stores sell whatever they want, so long as they pay a fair royalty to the copyright holders. The economies of scale at work here ensure an outcome with more choice and affordable access to all music for consumers and more revenue for artists.
